School Vision
We love each other, learn together and inspire all to succeed.
Welcome to
We are a school with a proud history of serving the Beaminster community for over 40 years.
In the spring of 2014, St Mary’s transitioned into an academy, allowing us to continue working closely with the Beaminster Pyramid of schools while also benefiting from our place within the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust. This connection enables us to collaborate with a diverse network of schools, sharing expertise, enriching learning experiences, and participating in exciting events in sports, music, and beyond.

Who knew the Staff Room had a Fairy Godmother? Our KS2 teachers are taking World Book Day to a whole new level this year! From the ballroom to the classroom, Cinderella and her (not-so) lovely Ugly Sisters have officially made an appearance. We're not sure if they're here to teach or just to find a glass slipper, but they are certainly staying in character! We are having so much fun seeing the effort the staff have put in, and we can't wait to see all of the children's amazing costumes as they arrive! Stay tunedmore pictures of our amazing staff and children to follow! #WorldBookDay #KS2 #Cinderella #SchoolLife #ReadingIsMagic Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust

A big thank you to are wonderful PTFA and the amazing team at Humpit's Ltd Removal and Clearance. You have done such a fantastic job.
World Book Day is this Thursday! Don't forget we'll be celebrating the joy of reading all day! Children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character. We would like them to bring the book with them, as throughout the day we will be giving the children the opportunity to share and read their books. Let's make it a day full of stories, imagination, and fun! #WorldBookDay #lovereading
Reading Reward Celebration! At Beaminster St Mary's Academy, we love celebrating our brilliant readers! This week, four of our wonderful children enjoyed a very special treatice cream with Mr Marklewas their reward for reading at home. We are so proud of every child who takes the time to read outside of school. Building a love of reading is something we value deeply, and it's fantastic to see so many children embracing it. A huge thankyou to our School Council, who carefully choose these rewards to make them extra special for everyone. Keep up the amazing reading, everyone! #ReadingRewards, #ProudReaders, #SchoolCouncilChoice, #LoveOfReading Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust
A Huge Thank You to Mr and Mrs Biggs! Year 2 would like to say a massive thank you to Mr and Mrs Biggs for their incredibly kind donation of pots and soil. Because of your generosity, Turtle Class had a fantastic time planting seeds as part of our science learning! We've planted cress, radishes, herbs, onions, and a variety of flowers, and we're very excited to compare how all the different seeds and bulbs grow over the next few weeks. The children absolutely loved getting their hands messy and learning about what plants need to thrive! Thank you again for helping make our science lesson so much fun! Family Drop-in Today with Emma Lancaster
Catching up with Mr. Marklew! It was fantastic to hear from Mr. Marklew today about the brilliant project our Year 4s have been diving into! As parents, we know how busy Beaminster can get, so it was incredibly inspiring to listen to the interview and hear how the children are taking action. They've been writing persuasive letters to the Local Authority, making a strong case for a new 20mph zone through town. There's nothing better than seeing our kids use their literacy skills to speak up for a safer, quieter community. It's a proud moment for all of us to see them becoming such thoughtful young citizens! #ProudParents #BeaminsterCommunity #Year4 #RoadSafety #FutureLeaders
